Apple has updated their iMac by adding an M4 processor. Its latest iMac model unveiled this morning will come with an M4 chip that has an 8-core processor and up to 10 cores of GPU. The basic model is priced at £1,002.33 that comes that comes with two Thunderbolt USB-C 4 ports and the more expensive models begin at £1,156.55 with four ports.
It's also packed together with accessories that are now using the USB-C ports for charging rather than Lightning. Similar to the previous model, the latest iMac comes with a 24-inch 4.5K display. But, Apple is offering a new "nano-texture glass option" for an additional £153.15 it is designed to cut down on reflections, glare and reflections.
The previous model was available, and it has the option of configuring the more expensive model with up to 32GB of storage. Apple's latest iMac has a 12MP webcam, and comes with the latest Apple Intelligence capabilities which are rolling out in the present, including AI-powered editing and writing features and a completely redesigned Siri. The more expensive model allows the use of two additional external displays that can run at 60 Hz (or one 8K external display with 120Hz).
The new Mac is available for pre-order now, and will be available beginning on the 8th of November. The iMac is available in 7 colours including yellow, green, pink, orange blue, silver and. There's no larger model, since Apple earlier stated there was no plan in the near future to upgrade the model that was discontinued, which was 27 inches which was powered by Intel.
The latest desktop computer from Apple is released just one year after the launch of an M3-powered iMac. It was powered by the M3 processor, which is what made it the main feature of the new computer, but however, it appeared similar to it was the previous M1 iMac in 2021 that came with a radical overhaul. Apple stated that the M3 version was two times quicker than the M1 version.
Apple first introduced it had a M4 chipset with its new iPad Pros in May, however it hadn't made the jump into Apple's Mac lineup until recently. This M4 chip inside iPad Pro iPad Pro is built using the Apple refers to as "second-generation" 3nm tech and Apple claims that the chip is equipped with the capacity of a processor with at least 10 cores as well as an eight-core GPU.
